The Benefits of Bottling Beer

If you have been very keen on the ongoing and latest trends in the beer industry, then you must have probably realized that most beer producers are starting to prefer to use cans rather than bottles in packaging their booze.
One of the reasons why those that like cans put forward for the preference of them is that most people like them, that they are better by far in packaging as compared to bottles. Others argue that cannot only cool down faster, but they are less breakable, and they are cheap hence reducing the production cost of beer.

But while cans are the latest big thing, there are numerous and good reasons why packing beer in bottles is still a good thing. Below we highlight some of the reasons why it is still a good thing to maintain beer bottling even though most producers of beer have made the switch to packaging their beer in cans.
Flavor

There are those who argue that the flavor of beer can be interfered with by packaging it in aluminum cans. Most individuals say that the cans give the beer a metallic taste that most beer enthusiasts do not enjoy. Even though this argument has not been scientifically proven it can either be based on personal taste, or it is a myth or can be true to some extent, but the argument is still open for discussion.

On the other hand, those who advocate for can use argue that can offer better protection to the beer due to their opaqueness as they protect it from both air and light. This is important they argue since it prevents the beer from going flat and going bad very easily. While this argument may be true to some extent, it is also a fact that bottles also offer effective protection to whatever is contained in them. If you want to protect the beer from light, it is possible to use bottles that are dark colored, while you can seal the bottles tightly with a cap to ensure that any unwanted air is kept at bay. For maintenance of beer freshness and flavour, I still believe bottling is still the better option.

Temperature

One argument that has made many gravitate towards can packaging is that they can make the beer in the cool down much quicker than when in bottles. While there is some truth in this, it is also true that when the beer is kept in bottles, it can stay cool for longer periods. So if you want a beer that will stay longer, so the drinker can sip and savour the moment, go for one packaged in a bottle.
Tradition

We have grown seeing beer being packaged in glass bottles. While others have gone with canning, a majority of the authentic brewers are still packaging their booze in glass bottles. Why not maintain beer bottling as you will be contributing to the maintenance of the tradition.
Aesthetic
